Advanced Control of Nonlinear Systems, Application to Electric Drives
Résumé
This lecture concerns the Ecole Centrale Nantes Master Students of EPICO Program with the support of Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
Objectives:
Introduction to the essential notions of structure, observation and deterministic control of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems. Numerous applications (automobiles, robots, electric actuators, drones, etc.) illustrate the course and show its applicability. Robust nonlinear control is then introduced, with Sliding Mode and Backstepping control.
Emphasis is placed on applications to electrical machines (DC and AC).
Course content :
- Introduction to mathematical tools for Nonlinear System Control
- Structural analysis, controllability, observability.
- Mono- and multivariable control: linearization by feedback, decoupling.
- Introduction to observers for nonlinear systems.
- Linear and state affine observers modulo nonlinear input and output injection and state coordinates transformation.
- Introduction to robust control: first- and second-order sliding modes and backstepping Control with applications to AC machines.
